I'm Maggie, a passionate beekeeper with a fascination and love for bees. I'm proud to introduce you to our range of products that I've handcrafted from honey and beeswax exclusively sources from our farm in central Scotland.
What makes us buzz?
Respect for our girls
Bees are an essential part of our lives. They pollinate our crops and maintain a balanced ecosystem that supports farming and food production. And as if that wasn't enough, they also give us incredible products like honey and beeswax.
They deserve our respect, and that's why 'our girls' are like family to us.
At Lothian Pure Bees, we keep the endangered native Scottish honey bee, adapted for the wet and windy weather over thousands of years.
Delicious & sustainable honey
Bees may be our special interest, but delicious honey is a crowd-pleaser. Our unfiltered, unpasteurised honey preserves the rich flavours and natural nutrients of Scotland's summer blossoms and heather.
We're sustainable beekeepers, and that means we only harvest honey that the bees don't need.
Beeswax for home, happiness & wellbeing
Beeswax is a versatile and skin-friendly product, composed of more than 280 different compounds. It burns cleanly and exhibits natural antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties. That's why beeswax has been harvested and used by humans for 1000s of years.
We use our beeswax to create a wide range of products, including candles, healing balms, polish and reusable wraps.
